Spain – Seville

Our trip: home – Cordoba – Monsaraz – Lisbon – Sintra – Seville – home

Cordoba is a beautiful town about 1.5h from Seville. While historic city center has mosque + church! The mosque is beautiful from the outside and probably the inside too, but we did could not get inside because it was past 1.00PM by the time we reached there. Nevertheless the outside environment was nice. Beware of girl beggars…or rather acting beggars. If you show sympathy and give something to 1 you will soon be surrounded by many! Another thing is, you will not get vegetarian food easily. Better you have translations written down with you because neither does anyone know English!

Seville is one of the most popular tourist cities of Spain. We stayed in hotel Silken Andaluz Palace which was very nice, but a little outside the city. However the bus frequency to the city is good. The city is big and you will easily need 2 days to cover most of it. DO NOT MISS – the flamingo dance that usually starts in the evening at about 7.00PM. You can either go to a mini theater or have dinner with dance. We did the mini theater La Casa Del Flamenco, Ph: +34955029999. Advance reservation is essential. Make sure you take your GPS as your walking guide. It is very easy to get lost in these identical looking, winding narrow streets.
